I personally think this whole resellers are the devil thing is crazy the problem with the so called sneaker game is the people who buy from them and people who promote those sites like thier not craigslist, solecollector, etc just with nice graphics. To me its just hypocritical to promote resellers and reseller sites then turn around and say those are the reasons the game is messed up. Just my opinion.
I've been saying this on BX for how long now? I don't care how much someone needs this reselling hustle for extra cash. The very concept of reselling thrives on the exploitation of people who love sneakers and hypebeasts with money, alike. Even if we all love making fun of hypebeasts, they're people getting screwed, too.
It's theft with a smile. It's someone demanding to be rewarded because they beat you to the sneaker store. It's bullshit.
I agree with the dude here (even if the video was EXTREMELY overproduced). The only thing that can be done is for the collective to bow out. I'm basically done, because I'm tired of the frustration. I don't want to have to watch Twitter for the hope that some unregulated RSVP system decides I'm lucky enough to give them a few hundred of my dollars. I don't want to wake up stupid early, to get to a sneaker store, and hope they have my size. I'm tired of telling my girl, "This last pair and I'm done for a minute," before something else catches my eye.
I'll go back to rocking plain AM90s and SC Trainers that don't move rapidly. There are more than 50 pairs (and I know you got a lot more) sitting in boxes in my closet that I can rotate for a few years. So fuck it, I'm good.
This is a hobby for most of us, b. Albeit, a hobby some of us are very passionate about. But I don't need the stress. I don't need a reseller telling me, "If you really want it, you'd get it before me." I don't need the challenge from some snake trying to push me to the apple tree.
I'll go back to being a video game geek who invests in technology for entertainment. I'd rather spend $250 on a PS Vita than on another pair of Elite LeBrons, or foams, or whatever else.

Yes people have no care in the world about the shoe just that its limited or very rare. The yeezy 2 was cool but be honest if it were just a pair of dunks that were a general release you think people would have went crazy for them? I personally don't get it & no disrespect to campers but I have a life.If I told you I had a product for sale but you have to live on the streets & shame yourself like you were homeless for a week as your family & mom walked by you would say no. But for a pair of shoes you would do it for a month! I bet if Nike stArted telling people hey no more camping, on release dates come down & who ever can beg the best; I'm talking on knees tears coming out your eyes begging will be allowed to pay us to get a pair of sneakers! The line would be around the block & we all know that's no lie! People are trying to hold these sneakers as status symbols, like my life ain't about shit but if someone sees me with these they will think I'm chilling. People understand on your Feet or in the box your life is still the same. I refuse to have someone make me jump through hoops to buy their product my $ should be good enough. For the resellers you have no work ethic, get a job! You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't tell me you do this reselling stuff to help raise $ because one day you want to open your own sneaker spot! Bullshit! get a job & start saving, limited releases don't happen that often & if you can camp out for a week then you can get a real job that provides you with a steady income. Once every few months you make a nice flip when if you had a job you would have no need to flip. I swear people today have no pride & the worst part is I see some grown ass men on those lines, I wonder if those same men would live on the streets for a week if it would help better their Childs education.
Before I watched this I wondered why you wanted to retire from the game, but now I can understand and respect your decision bruh. I salute you for the time that you put in. I myself love Jordans for reasons other than what most people do and I can honestly say that these niggas out here are making this shit shameful. I refuse to cop a pair of sneakers because of hype. Ever. I never was the type a person to try to blend in with the rest of these loser ass niggas who camp out, resell, and kill for a fuckin pair of shoes. I cop for me. Period.
from about the 15 minute mark onwards homie starts dropping some real truth. personally, i'm done with paying reseller rape. i have done it on a few pairs of shoes. my worst probaly being the space jam dunk sbs. i paid $200 (double retail) for those fuckers.
i realise now that if it's meant to be then it's meant to be. i strongly believe though that this game ain't fixing up anytime soon. too many young beasts lining up like motherfucking soldiers everytime.
funny thing is though, i have some shit that i consider dope as hell that was general release. i'm talking sb dunks here, air max 90's, other nike runners and nike training shoes. and this shit i'm referring to sits on shelves and websites for fucking ages! you know why? well, probably because it's not limited and therefore has no fucking HYPE whatsoever.
hype truly is a game killer. as for quality. well, thats a whole 'nother level shit. and again, i got, what i consider, good quality g.r shit sitting on my racks.

i blame the company like nike, reebok and other they now are produce less sneaker like , og jordan , foams , yeezy , lebrons and other to create second market like reseller . people getting attack beat , kill they can get there hand on these shoes . there is a simple solution go back to restock produce more . more mean less hype , less resller , less violets . and what the people get back are more new snearker collector , happy times . sammy
I thought I'd be turning my back on something I love to do but after seeing this video I know it is for the best. And he is right, I can always come back when the game is at least close to what it should be. As for the reselling, I will admit, I have sold over a dozen of my OGs and retros but it was always to create cash flow to cop new releases. I have even resold new releases. I would cop 2 pair and sell the second pair at a price that would make it so I basically got my first pair for free. I don't have any shame in that at all. I feel like thats just being smart. I've never bought 5,6 or 7 pair to make a profit. If hypebeast are killing the game then we might as well make them pay for our sneakers. Thats just my 2 cents. Ive been collecting since the late 90s and I just figured I have to change with the times but like dude says, if I have to miss a couple releases here and there to get the game back then so be it. Videos like this need more pub. Ay Def, Shoot it to sneaker news, nicekicks, etc to see if they'll post it. They post all the craziness that goes down in the videos on release days. We gotta get the word out. Im bout to post a link to it on my facebook right now. Thanks Def for exposure. With any luck, the game will be greater later.
