I just installed this app on my HTC Droid Eris.
Works pretty good, just gotta get used to it.

Swype For Android
(It's best to click that above link from your actual phone and download it directly, or download it to ur pc and e-mail to the e-mail account linked to your phone)
Once installed, go to text and locale in your settings and check off swype.
